Windborn is acoustic alternative music like you've never heard it before. A simply massive one man show involving guitar, kick drum, looping pedals, vocals and other hand percussion. Windborn is Jeff Pike's solo acoustic project. Jeff has been writing and performing his music under the name of Windborn since 2006 and under other band names since 2001. Jeff has performed over 1000 concerts to date working as his own booking agent and promoter. In December 2011 Jeff packed everything into storage and hit the road full time to focus entirely on his music playing 20+ shows every month all over Western Canada from Victoria to Winnipeg. He is consistently booked into every type of venue and festival, sharing the stage with folk artists such as Matthew Barber, world fusion acts such as Tambura Rasa and hard rock bands such as the Set. Somehow the music of Windborn fits everywhere and is appreciated by everyone. It's a difficult thing to explain. It may just need to be seen to be understood.
In 2010 Jeff released the Radiate EP online and in April 2011 he released his first full length under the name of Windborn called Spitting Bullets. 400 copies of Spitting Bullets have been sold in the year of it's release. 300 of which have been sold in the 4 months since Jeff has been on the road full time. The music of Windborn has been heard on radio worldwide and has been featured on itunes podcasts and multiple compilation albums. The next Windborn album will be released in the summer of 2012 and Jeff will be touring all of Canada and the United States over the next year taking his music to every venue he can find.
